Victoria Hensen | Interior Designer

Victoria Hensen (Vicky) is an industry professional who helps her clients make great design decisions and who will make sure the process is worry free, fun and that the end result is a timeless space that reflects her client's personality and lifestyle.

Vicky‘s attention to detail and trends as well as her ability to immerse herself in her client's world helps her to create interesting, one of a kind spaces. Great design is a reflection of the personality and aesthetic of the homeowner. Ultimately a home is an extension of the homeowner and it should be livable, functional and beautiful.

Vicky received her education in Fine Arts and Interior Design in Colorado and has designed high-end interiors in Denver and the Rocky Mountain west for over 25 years. Her intuitive and collaborative design style creates a unique and productive result.

Vicky’s diverse design experience includes operating a private Interior Design firm, working as Senior Interior Designer for Homestead House and Stickley Furniture Galleries, model home design and, most recently, Design Gallery Director for The Showroom at Furniture Row.

About Me
I have lived in Colorado since 1974. I raised my three children here and I understand and embrace Colorado’s unique lifestyle and personality. I am a gardener and often bring the unique inspiration of nature into my projects. I’m a stickler for detail and love to design beautiful, livable spaces and truly enjoy the entire design process.

The Process
I love people! The design challenge in all projects is getting to the bottom of what my clients desire both in functionality and aesthetics. I ask a lot of questions and, in most cases, like to visit the space we will be designing. The biggest reward is hearing clients say, “That is just what we wanted!”

I do not have a design style; my style is whatever my client's style is, which keeps it fresh and interesting. Whether you’re casual or like to dress it up, contemporary or traditional, I will work to make it happen.

The most important element in the design process is our communication and the relationship of trust that we develop. My consistent follow through and tenured guidance will ensure that the process is fun and productive. Designing a new space should never be stressful. I always strive to make the process easy and worry free, so that you spend your design dollars wisely and enjoy your space for many years to come, no matter how large or small your project is!

Design Philosophy

When you purchase quality pieces, and a professional designer helps you design your space, you will have the bones of good design to work with. Over the years, you may just need to update pieces like your accessories or rugs to refresh the look. Today’s design, now more than ever, is a collage of old and new, classical and contemporary, with fresh color palettes that make everything feel new and fashion forward.

Inspiration:
There’s inspiration to be found in everything we come in contact with: color; texture; history; and nature. Oftentimes, my passion for textiles and color is a great place to start. Fabric and paint can be some of the most visually impactful items in a room, and always breathe new life into a tired space! All great design, whether it is traditional or modern, has roots in the past. If you understand the history of Design and how different looks and periods play together, then incorporate current design trends into the mix, the final outcome will look new but the longevity of a thoughtful and inspired design will live a long and happy life.
