I was born with a big gift and passion of Art and Design. Since I was a little girl growing up in the small Baltic country of Latvia I always had a big dreams for Interior Design and creating all types of Art and Handi Crafts. Latvians are known for their artistic skills in many Art and Design forms from generation to generation. I remember as a little girl spending a lot of time at my grandmother’s house. I learned a lot of sewing secrets all day. We were always working on a lots of projects for clients. It was hard work but it was interesting to me and fun.
We lived under Communism at the time, with not many materials available at the stores so we needed to be more creative. At night when my grandmother was asleep and softly snoring, I would lay awake envisioning all kinds of artistic designs, art and patterns that I wanted to create but, never realizing that one day it would be possible.
In the 1990s, there weren’t opportunities in my native country to follow my dreams, but a lot changed after I graduated high school. I married my high school sweetheart and we moved to United States to pursue his career in professional sport. We built a family, learn a new language and finally I was able to study and pursue my long-time dreams too. I finished Interior Design Institute in Newport Beach, CA and Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
I work as Interior Designer for many years and at the moment I am working at the beautiful Howard Lorton’s Furniture & Design in Downtown Denver. I love Interior Design and helping my clients. It makes me happy to see my clients happy.
On the side, I developed my own line of custom, one-of-a-kind handbags from all kinds of exotic leathers. My artwork was featured at the Golden Globes in 2019 and featured at the Oscar winner's gifting lounge 2020.
We all have dreams of how we would like our lives to be, but we often don’t think they will ever become a reality.
And to quote Walt Disney,” If you dream it, you can do it.”
My dream now is to become The Best Designer at Howard Lorton’s :)
